About Us

As imagined by Mr. Sherley Batke Double Dam Golf Course & Campground was created by local area resident Sherley Batke. In 1989 Batke transformed a portion of his land into a nine-hole golf course. In the early 1990s the campground and nine additional holes were added and the site became a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts and it remains a beloved fixture in the Rosalind area today.

Golf

Welcoming golfers of all skill levels, our front nine is a lush PAR 31 built in 1989 that requires precision shots to navigate water hazards, narrow fairways, and doglegs to set up your approach. The back nine, added in 1993, is a PAR 35 that plays longer and allows you to take a much more liberal approach to your game.

Camp

We offer 24 x 20 amp and 24 x 30 amp serviced and 20 non-serviced campsites. 5 large group sites are also available. All serviced sites include power plus water, sewer connections with internet service available. Serviced sites are also in close proximity to our bathroom facilities and coin operated showers and laundry services. Serviced campsites are available for both seasonal and short term rentals.

Eat & Drinks

Join us at our fully licensed Caddyshack Restaurant after a round of golf or just any time at all. We’ve got a wide selection of delicious food and drinks to satisfy any appetite. Our relaxed atmosphere allows you to talk about your latest round or just watch your favorite game on our big screen TVs located both inside and on our spacious outdoor patio.

We have everything you need for a wedding, family gathering, corporate event, or tournament. Our outdoor events centre is ready to host you. This venue has ample power and can accommodate events from 20-300 people with camping readily available. We can also help coordinate your furnishings, decor, and catering needs. We have also partnered with the Best Western Plus at the Camrose Resort and Casino. From Camrose: Go East on Highway 13. Turn South onto Highway 56. After about 18.5 KM turn East onto Highway 609. Follow this paved highway about 11 KM to Double Dam Golf Course. From Stettler: Go North on Highway 56 until you reach Highway 609. Turn East and follow the paved road about 11 KM to Double Dam Golf Course.

Located on the Battle River Valley our scenic location is simply perfect for photos. Our venues are able to accommodate different setups for ceremonies and receptions. Ample power and various amenities make this the ideal location to celebrate your special day.

Family Reunions

Spacious camping, areas for outdoors games, access to large tents, along with our fully licensed Caddyshack Restaurant with catering capabilities, and an outdoor event centre are just a few reasons we host annual family reunions.

Golf Tournaments

We’re a golf course. This is what we do best. 18 challenging holes, power carts, and an outdoor covered venue for post tournament events makes Double Dam a top tournament host location.
